I hope you had a nice weekend , and here we are again with a new week upon us.   I thought our weather would begin to stay warmer, however, here we are with the possibility of snow showers this evening.  In Missouri, we can have 70 degrees one day back in the 30's the next day. The sweet Spring flowers are rather confused.

Since this is rather a gloomy cloudy day, I decided to bring some Spring into the dining room and change things up on top of my old hutch, which I love.  This hutch was my Grandmother's and is quite old, and I have never done anything to it in the last 49 years, except to polish.

"Spring Basket"

The large basket has been in a closet storing pillows, and I decided it would be a fun focal piece to decorate.  I just put a large bouquet of lavender stems I purchased a few years back, added two pieces of vintage stoneware I bought at an estate sale, two chocolate bunnies, some burlap ribbon and greenery.

Taking décor which I already have and changing the feel and look is one of my favorite ways to decorate my home.  I have always felt, mixing old and new with a touch of rustic always blends together.

Till next time, "May the light of God's love guide your path".
