Like anyone who starts a blog, I'm nervous and a little unsure of myself at this point.  I'm jumping in and finding my way a little at a time, while also trying to improve on my photo shots.

Last weekend I went to a tag estate sale and found a large canister of buttons and  some old lace pieces.  It is always so much fun to sort through old buttons, and imagine the stories behind these old lovelies.  Here are just a few I pulled out to photograph.  The vintage buttons have beautiful patinas, and many are very unusual.   There were several really nice old buckles too.

Can't wait to find a new project for some of these buttons and buckles.

The lace pieces are so very delicate, but in good condition.  I can imagine this piece was buttoned to the top of a lovely ladies blouse, as there is a handmade button hole on back.

Tucked under a large stack of pillow cases was this piece of lace, and in seeing the details and  beautiful rose pattern, I could not walk away without it.  Would be pretty to use as the front of a fabric journal, or to frame on black velvet and accent with some of the pretty buttons I found.

Until next time, Blessings,
Sharon
