Our Feathered Friends

Early morning is one of my favorite times of the day while drinking a hot cup of coffee and looking out the window to see what "feathered friends" have arrived for their morning breakfast.  Two weeks ago we still had some white fluffy snow on the ground, and as I looked out, there were more Cardinals than I have ever seen at the feeders, surely from the snow we have received the past few weeks.   Patiently I stood from the deck to attempt to capture the beauties.

I am still learning how take photographs from my Canon Rebel.  I took these pictures using a zoom lens with the portrait setting.
